There's a whole raft of different Tetris-style games out for the phone. Of course, we're not allowed to call them Tetris games or the makers of Tetris get very annoyed. SameGame is one of the latest in this long line of clones, and while it offers nothing revolutionary, it still presents a fun way to kill a few minutes on the bus.
Your basic quest is a familiar one - to remove all the coloured marbles from the board by matching them with the same geometric shapes on the screen. The more you connect together the more points you score, and the program includes built-in statistics which helps make for more meaningful games, as you challenge previous records.
The gameplay is pretty addictive and there are some nice additional features, such as a hints mode for beginners, an undo function, and a battery level indicator. Graphically, the game is quite colourful, and the marble designs change as you proceed through the levels.
SameGame is a bright and challenging diversion with some nice graphics, but ultimately it lives up to its name - we've seen it all a thousand times before.
